Session 2

In this session we will start building interactive multimedia presentation with Authorware. The reason is that through this experience you will get to understand a number of important design principles and approaches. Once you understand these, it would be much easite for you to start using other software such as Flash.

I created step-by-step tutorial how to develop Thailand Multimedia Album presentation which we begun making in the last class. Click HERE to download the tutorial. The tutorial is a bit large file (zip file about 200Mb) and it contains over one hour instructions showing visuals with my voice over describing how to develop every part of the package. If you go through this presentation carefully, pause it when needed and try to follow steps by creating your own presentation, you will be able to learn certain useful things about Authorware. All the media for the tutorial is available for download HERE. Try to do this in your own as we might not have luxury of time to do in details in this in the class. In next class we will have to move on with some more complex interactions and to slowly transit towards variables, functions and design of some simple learning objects.

Finally, I would also like you to focus on your project. At least by next class, have a topic and a team in mind for the project.
